Mom: Yes, the spirit of a little boy.
Me: What is he doing here?
Mom: He used to live here.
Me: What?

Child B
As Child B’s mother and I walked up the stairs, she explained to me that the little spirit boy used to live in building 2, and on the 2nd floor many years ago. As we spoke, I did not take what she was telling me seriously. However, she shared with me that Child B was very nervous and afraid when the spirit boy ran down the hall in building 2, on the 1st floor. But, what made Child B so nervous about this child ghost?

Child B’s mother reminded me of a time a few weeks prior, when Child B looked terrified, as I walked closer to the family. Child B would usually run to me, but this time that was not the case at all. It was very unusual for this child not to get overly excited to see me. It was explained that the little child ghost was male, and on that day. Child B could see him, and that he was behind me as I walked to pick up Child B, who appeared clearly uncomfortable.

I did not know what was going on, but the family did since all of them could see ghosts. On that day, I changed how I began my therapy with Child B. Child B wanted to discuss the little spirit boy quite often, and would tell me things about its presence. Since the little ghost boy's appearance continued to happen to several kids who worked with me, I researched the company, building, and this little child spirit to gather more information. Oh man, I learned a lot.

Let’s explore the Little Spirit Boy Child B’s Perspective
Child B was anxious when the little spirit boy showed himself to her and going forward, it only improved when Child B was in my office space. I was not sure why until I started asking questions. I was told that my office space felt, “calm” to Child B. Child B often described it as being filled with “angels.” It was a very pretty office; bright and airy, and Child B often talked to an angel who, according to Child B, sat in the tree protecting me by the window. Child B had many conversations about this angel and also the very tall angel behind me, but my main concern lied with the little spirit boy who visited building 2. It became even more interesting when other children started to talk to me, as well as another therapist, about this little spirit boy. The therapist and I collaborated a lot about the ability of these children to see this little spirit boy, and some of us also knew that the building may have been haunted.

Getting Child B up the stairs and into my office space was growing harder. Child B would see the little spirit boy on the staircase, and Child B’s mother would need to intervene in order to comfort and calm Child B. Remember, Child B’s mother could see the little spirit boy as well; therefore, she began to talk to the little spirit boy to tell it that it was frightening Child B.

Yes, full blown conversations with this little spirit boy!
In front of me…

Child B’s mother explained to me that the little spirit boy was harmless, but that he was afraid of something just like Child B. He was replaying his life when he was alive in that building. Or, he was trying to show families that he was afraid of what used to happen to him in that building. That was the reason that he was running down the hallways. In other words, Child B’s mother explained that the little spirit boy was performing the same act that he did in life many years ago. He was running from whatever made him afraid.

I need to prepare you all over the next few months as to what I learned that made the little spirit boy afraid. I will not reveal it now, but in October make sure that you come back and read about it.
It is frightening, if you can handle a good ghost story.

For now, I want you to understand that I did not know then what I learned later on about this little spirit boy. These were things learned from this family, verified and researched, and they are all real events. Eventually, these events played a part in some of the reasons why I resigned from this mental health center, a wonderful company, but all of my clients experienced far too much anxiety upon each visit. I was a new mom again, and I was feeling uneasy in those buildings as well.

I cannot wait to tell you why I was uneasy too.

Child C
Of course, all of this was interesting to me. As I learned more about this little spirit boy from other children, Child C comes to mind. You see, Child C also shared with me that this spirit was that of a male child. This is a child that I worked with around the same time as Child B, but you need to understand that there was no way that Child C could hear Child B’s conversations with me. They were in the building at different times, but on the same day. My office was on the 2nd floor, with the main waiting room on the 1st floor. Child C waited on the 1st floor. Upstairs, our offices had solid wood doors with silencers outside of them. Those silencers made noises that sounded like fans outside of our doors. These were the same, yet different conversations amongst the children.

Child C saw this little spirit boy running down the hallway as well. Child C, however, was not anxious at all. It was like a normal day in Child C's life. Child C was a bit older than Child B and would invite this little spirit boy into my office.

Ummm no!

By now you all know that I stopped that behavior. Nevertheless, I will share that Child C would open up the doors to a a double closet within my office. Child C claimed that is where the little spirit boy would hide from me. Child C shared that the little boy spirit would watch me work daily because he was interested in how I was helping the children.

Really?

The closets were so spooky to me. I would not open them unless someone else was on the 2nd floor in the area with me. Ok, once I did open them because I remember thinking that these ghosts are not going to scare me, or alter my mind (lol), so I opened it. I don't think that they were originally closets, but I can be wrong. I say that because I remember them being unfinished and seemed as if they lead to something downstairs at one point in time. I still do not know what bothered me about those closets, after opening them once, that was enough for me. I never opened them again, but

My clients did.
I am positive that I have a picture of those closets and the office space.
I will post them when I find them.

I made mentioned of Child C for you to understand that Child B and family were not the only clients who saw the little spirit boy. We will talk about Child C in future blogs because this child had very interesting experiences with me as well. Overtime, this child grew uncomfortable in building 2 and did not like walking past building 3. Not only did this child look in closets, but Child C also observed toys moving on the 2nd floor as well. Child C claimed that the spirit boy was moving the toys. This child taught me a lot about the supernatural.

Safety
Child B's anxiety would heighten in the hallways on the 2nd floor. Child B would not even go to the bathroom on the 2nd floor without me waiting outside of the door, or Child B's mother. This child started to make me fearful of what was being seen in the hallways and in the closets. And, forget the waiting room upstairs because Child B was not going in there at all without an adult present for comfort.

The waiting room did give me the chills at times. It was so beautiful, but with dark hues such as the wood trim due to the age of the home. There is only so much that you can do to brighten up old Victorian homes, but it was modernized which made it feel comfortable to me. I did understand why the kids were nervous in there because it just felt heavy or dreary. Why? The wood was dark, the windows were small, and the toys did go off on their own at times.

Yes, the toys would start to move and if they had music, they would play on their own.

I asked Child B about it and Child B shared that the spirit boy would move the toys because he was playing with them, and activated the sounds. One night, I was alone when I had to close up the building. I always made sure that the appliances, doors, and other things were turned off before I left. There were two entrances into the waiting area, and I chose the one closest to the toys that evening. I was in the entrance of the door and,

The toys started playing music and/or sounds. Yup!

I stood there for a moment, then started turning off the sounds to each of the toys. Remember when I said that I did not get afraid that often after listening to these kids? That changed in that moment because I was terrified! I started talking to the spirit boy and God, simultaneously, to turn off the toys. I closed the door to that waiting area, shut my office door and locked it, and walked down the stairs WHILE holding onto the railing as fast as I could. I went outside and locked the back door. I really loved my job, co-workers, and my clients, but I started to understand why these kids had such high anxiety in building 2. It was creepy and things kept happening that I was unable to explain intellectually.

Such as a man that I saw at the trashcan outside, who appeared to me later...

Child B's Mother
What a dynamic woman. Child B’s mother must have felt as if I was ready to learn more about myself, as well as my place of employment after I told her what happened that night when I closed. When we debriefed with Child B after therapy, the mother talked to me in detail about the boy spirit, the building, land, and more about the demon in building 3. Heck she could see everything around us. One of the things that she shared with me was that I did not need to be afraid in the buildings because,

You are heavily guarded.
You have more than one angel around you.
One is also outside in the tree watching you.

I think I was a lot more calm about the little ghost boy after that debriefing. I saw Child B once per week, and after each session, the family began to speak with me about the various “ghosts” surrounding the building, explaining that was the reason that my clients were so nervous. There was a lot that I needed to learn about anxiety in children and ironically, this was the time when I learned that standard treatments did not work with these kids. Some of the children had symptoms of mental illness as a direct result of what they could see versus a possible chemical imbalance. When the ghosts did not present themselves to the kids, their mental health was within expectancy.

I took a long walk with Child B and mother one day for therapy. I like to incorporate the parents as much as needed into the therapy to assist with treatment. As we walked past building 2, we stopped at a sculpture in the garden and the mother started to smile. She shared that she was smiling at my angel. Then, she and Child B starting having a conversation with this angel, while telling me what was being said. The very tall angel was there, but also the male angel who was sitting in the tree. Child B's mother was also able to see many, many ghosts from the past who were on the land, even other child spirits. Regarding building 3, she said,

This used to be an adoption center for displaced children during the War.
Their fathers were in the War.

Could This Be True?

Every week I look forward to reading these experiences not only as a believer, but also someone who appreciates the clinical side. What an honor and blessing that these tiny humans found someone who would listen to them and believe in them. Can’t wait for the next blog!!
