The Basics
All week, I've been thinking of ways to go back to "The Basics" in psychology without overcomplicating it's relation to Nebulous Children. Let's discuss the basics by way of questions and answers.

How Does Seeing Ghosts Happen to a Child?
Nebulous Parents, those parents who can see ghosts too, told me that they saw ghosts at a very young age. They could recall seeing them throughout their homes and school as far back as preschool. Children and teens mentioned the same timeline to me, but that it is difficult to control this gift. And at times, it is hard to understand the difference between "good" versus "bad" ghosts. To them, it just happened and it was their way of life which seemed normal to them despite many having endured some symptoms or form of mental illness from seeing ghosts.

Can I Stop My Child From Seeing Ghosts"
I have not met a parent yet who could stop their child from seeing ghosts. I call it a gift because that is what it is to me, and how it was described by Nebulous Parents. Most of the parents that I met of Nebulous Children did not want to remove the ability to see ghosts away from their children. Many times, the goal was to rid their children of the developing mental health problems associated with their visions of ghosts. To illustrate, a child who was feeling anxious about what was seen in the closet at night, or at the edge of their bed could make a child anxious at night. Or, a Nebulous Child who was following the directions of the a ghost which caused the child to get into trouble at school. If Nebulous Children could see ghosts without developing symptoms of mental illness, parents would not take their children to visit a Psychologist. It was not negatively impacting all children's mental health, but a good percentage of them.

When Does Seeing Ghosts Happen to a Child?
My guess, after listening to many stories from Nebulous Children and Nebulous Parents, is that seeing ghosts may start in infancy. I think we all have watched babies and animals look around the room at something that is not there, or appear as if they are daydreaming at something in the room. Nebulous Parents tell me that when their children would behave this way, that they were seeing God's angels because children are the closest humans to God. As they grow up, the "veil" is lifted from some kids but others continue to see ghosts for the rest of their lives. Controlling their ability to see ghosts was key to improving their mental health.

Why Does Seeing Ghosts Happen to a Child?
I never really learned why some children can see ghosts, but I did learn that many of them did not like seeing them at all. Most of them would share with me that it was scary to see ghosts, and that it was not something that I would want to be able to do. I read your questions about how to start seeing ghosts, or what you can pray about to God in order to see ghosts, but Nebulous Children would warn you not to try to see them. From their perspective, it is too scary to view ghosts daily.

Will My Child Be Haunted Forever?
Your child is not haunted. Try not to confuse possessions with a child's ability to see ghosts because their is a difference. A Nebulous Child can see ghosts and interact with them. I do not discuss possessions that often because I do not give demons the platform on my blog, or podcast. However, demons do show themselves to children (e.g., dark angels), and we have to teach Nebulous Children how to identify them, remove them from their sight, and to demand them not to return. If not, they will remain and follow us but your child is not haunted by them. Remember, you have the power to make them go away, in God's name.

When To Take My Nebulous Child to See A Psychologist?
Use your instincts. If your gut is telling you that something maybe troubling you about your children, then you should make an appointment to visit a Psychologist. Typically, I have encountered parents who just "knew" something was not right within their child, and after psychological testing learned that their child had a type of disability, for example. When behaviors significantly impact your child's daily living, then visiting a Psychologist can help you and your Nebulous Child to better cope with their symptoms.

Psychology
Psychology, or the study of the mind, is a science. The field is emerging, changing, and many topics and ideas are being researched daily. Research, articles, and other literature in psychology date back to the early 19th century and discusses not just children who can see ghosts, but the paranormal as well or paranormal psychology. There is also a significant amount of current literature that describe children's ability to see ghosts, along with their accounts of ghostly visitors in a variety of places and situations. If you sit back and Google this topic, you will learn the history of paranormal psychology.

On the other hand, there are Psychologists who will deny that children or people can see ghosts, and attribute their sighting strictly to them being delusional or another type of mental health diagnosis. In my experiences in psychology, there are just too many coincidences with regard to the paranormal. This includes, children with the same sightings and stories, but in different locations. Many of the those children have the same symptoms such as fear, point of reference, and warnings. Their parents detail the exact same symptoms observed within their children, and also share similar; if not the same, encounters.

Me
Although I do not have all of the answers, I will tell you two things for certain and that is,

I believe Nebulous Children's stories.
I also believe in psychology.
