Blog 18: "Twin Flames"

Twin flames is term that I used to hear quite often as I worked with Nebulous Children. When I hear it now, it reminds me of two children, Child F and Child G, both of whom I met and started conducting psychotherapy with in St. Louis. Ever met a stranger and thought, this person seems just like me? Or, s/he is my soulmate? Kind of like your soul seems divided between your body and that person's as well. And ironically, that person was either healing for you or a source of your most remembered pain? I have had that experience as well and when it happened, it seemed unreal. My husband and I were born on the same day. I'll let you figure out that one :)

Introducing Child F and Child G
Child F and Child G were siblings who experienced a significant amount of trauma at the hands of their father, who could see ghosts. The father took his gift to a level that I try to dissuade you all from falling into, and that is a demonic level. I can give to you an exhaustive list as to the reason(s) that you should not befriend demons but instead, I will share with you my time with this family as an example.

Both children could see ghosts too, and shared with me the various paranormal activities that were happening within their home such as the following:
  1. Their father could see demons
  2. Demons were within the home
  3. The basement had a demonic "portal," according to their dad
  4. Dad did not want them in the basement because he did not want them near the demonic portal
  5. Dad would interact with the demons in the basement
  6. Dad tried to, unsuccessfully, close the portal
  7. Dad started sharing feelings of wanting to protect the kids from the demons

However, number 7 was problematic with regard to the children's father. What I believe is that he truly wanted to protect his children from harm. That was the part of him that I think we all could agree with, but his plan to protect them was scary, and a major problem. You see, Dad believed that the only way that he could keep those kids from succumbing to the demons within his basement, and being led into the portal to hell...

...was to murder them.

Some would say this father was delusional. I said that he was possessed because of his behaviors, gestures, voice, and plan to protect his children. Demons will hurt all of us. They do possess humans, have the strength to make us delusional, and move forward with bad choices. Here's what happened:
  • This father told his children his plan
  • The children told their teachers
  • Teachers contacted the proper authorities (mandated reporters)
  • Rightfully so, the children were removed from their home
  • Children were (State) ordered to attend psychotherapy
  • Father was in custody (jail)

Structured Clinical Interview
Both Child F and Child G could see ghosts. I spoke of these two children in an earlier blog, but I did not give them an official introduction because I needed to build you up to reading about them. These children were scary! I will venture to say scary because at that point, I had not experienced an entire family who focused that heavily on demonic activity. Not one family, so these children were on a different level of the playing field for me, and I had to battle to win.

My initial goal was to get these kids talking to me. I already knew that they could (possibly) see ghosts because it written in their psychological, psychiatric, and State reports. I said possibly because by now, you understand that I always needed to confirm whether or not this gift was reality, and test the spirits that the children could see. Among a lot of things that were great about these kids, one was their ability to communicate their feelings with me. These kids did not hide anything with regard to their abilities, nor did they keep it from me which was good. By the time that I met them, I had experience dealing with Nebulous Children. I conducted 4 different Structured Clinical Interviews to begin treating these children in the following manner: 1) State Social Worker, 2) Child F, 3) Child G, and then 3) Both Children.

  • State Social Worker
The State Social Worker already had it within her mind and reported to me that these kids were "crazy" just like their father. Of note: Any assumptions about a person's mental health drives me internally "crazy," based solely upon symptoms which to me, is never effective. Assumptions bring forth incorrect diagnoses which leads to improper treatment, and a quick turn around of medication management being given to the client. This State Social Worker was not very nice toward me either, which lead to the treatment being cut short with the children.
  • Child F and Child G
I listened to these children's stories, and asked a lot of questions. I remembered them being strikingly physically beautiful children, and they were very much alike in numerous ways. They looked almost identical and their supernatural experiences were the same in some respects, but different in others. I started referring to them in my personal notes as "Twin Flames" because they seemed like twins just born a few years a part from one another. There is a lot to unpack with blogging about their ghostly experiences, but the one thing that both children kept telling me about is,

"There's a demonic portal in our basement."

Hi Dr Lisa, Did you ever question if the demonic portal in the basement or belief there of was because of The Dads belief and because children are so impressionable? Have you ever met with Adults with proven abilities and connectivty to spirits to potentially further affirm what the children are experiencing?

Hi Tawanah,

Thanks for commenting. Ironically, I am planning to address this on Friday; how symptoms of mental health can decrease when “normally” functioning individuals are removed from those who have active symptoms. In other words, the transfer of symptoms amongst family members. Good question!

I do discuss parents with the ability to see ghosts in earlier blogs and podcasts. Going forward, you will hear me discuss them in more detail on my podcast. They were very important in my learning while meeting their beautiful children... and others!
